This is the smaller of the two CareSens Blood Glucose Meters available in New Zealand. It is ideal for use when simplicity is required. The CareSens POP meter holds 10 test records so you can compare your latest blood glucose test with the previous nine tests.
If your blood glucose levels are well controlled (your regular HbA1C blood tests are always within the range regarded as ideal by your healthcare professional) then this meter may be all you need.
Alternatively, you may want to have a second meter for social occasions where you want greater discretion, or a meter that slips easily into your pocket or handbag (you will still need to carry test strips and your lancet device with lancet).

In New Zealand your doctor may prescribe a CareSens POP meter if you are newly diagnosed as diabetic and being prescribed Insulin or a sulphonylurea medicine. In such an instance, your CareSens POP meter is reimbursed through the New Zealand Pharmaceutical Schedule and available on prescription from your community pharmacy.
If you wish to purchase a CareSens POP meter they are available from your pharmacy at a modest price.
