Foetal Fibronectin Testing

In New Zealand the following methods for foetal fibronectin (fFN) testing are available:

 

• Rapid fFN™  for the TliIQ® System – an automated analyser test.
• Quikcheck fFN® - a manually read test strip.

 

These foetal fibronectin tests are in vitro diagnostic test to detect foetal fibronectin (fFN) in the cervicovaginal secretions in pregnant women, with the signs and symptoms of early preterm labour, to be used as an aid in assessing the risk of preterm delivery.
