Hologic

Logo-Hologic.jpgPharmaco partners with Hologic, an international women’s healthcare company, to focus on pre-term birth. We sell The Rapid fFN® (fetal fibronectin) test, a system that tests for the presence of a glycoprotein called fetal fibronectin in the vaginal secretions of pregnant women. This information gives obstetricians an indication of the probability of preterm birth - valuable information to support decision making on the right management and treatment options for both the mother and unborn child.

For more information on this test please visit www.ffntest.com

Fresenius Kabi

Logo-Fresenius.jpgPharmaco represents Fresenius Kabi Transfusion Technology, a global health care company that specializes in technologies for whole blood and blood component collection and processing, as well as for transfusion medicine and cell therapies.

Pharmaco’s Medical Technology team have a combined experience of over 40 years in the blood collection and transfusion market and have kept abreast of, and contributed to, the changes in practice and technology in this field. We offer specific expertise in the areas of autotransfusion and therapeutic apheresis to our hospital and blood donor centre customers including:

  • Therapeutic apheresis (stem cell collection and plasma exchange): There is a number of ways the COMTEC™ system can be used. One example of this is its use in hospitals to collect stem cells from a person’s peripheral blood circulation. These stem cells can then be used to treat people who have certain types of blood cancer.
  • Blood salvage: The CATSplus™ (Continuous Auto Transfusion System) is used in hospitals during surgery. It reduces the need to use other people’s blood (i.e. blood bags) when a person loses blood during surgery. The CATSplus™ collects a person’s blood lost during surgery, cleans it, and then returns it back to that same person’s blood circulation.
  • Blood collection systems: Pharmaco provides a comprehensive system of products to enable a ‘vein to vein’ approach for collecting and processing blood from donors, and supplying it for transfusion to other people who need it.
